Fire Door Inspection Scheme

All of our inspectors are assessed to ensure they can inspect fire doors to:

– Determine whether the door set still complies with the manufacturer’s specifications or an appropriate industry-recognised code of practice (e.g. BS 8214) where such instructions are either not available or unsuitable.

-Inspected in such a manner as to identify and report any areas where there is a risk that the fire-resistant properties of the door set have not been maintained (for example, through damage, installation issues or a change to the manufacturer’s specification)

-Checked to identify the risk that appropriate supporting documentation is not available to confirm the fire resistance of the door set (i.e. whether fire test evidence is available).

Firestopping Installation Scheme

As part of the scheme installers are assessed to ensure Trident are using fire stopping seal solutions that have a proven fire resistance, following the manufacturer’s data sheets, or engineering judgements.

Fire Door Installation Scheme

As part of the scheme, installers are assessed to ensure that we use a proven product and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Audits are carried out to demonstrate that whatever is used to firestop the frame to the surrounding structure is suitable for fire door set applications and applicable for the configuration that you are using it in.

Fire Door Maintenance Scheme

The fire door maintenance scheme operates based on you restoring the door set back to the original manufacturer’s specification. It does not cover any “upgrade” work or anything that would result in a deviation from the manufacturer’s test evidence. Trident is assessed to demonstrate that whatever work undertaken as part of this scheme restores the doors to the original manufacturer’s specification.
